#2.  Announcement:  Know Your BSO Philly Member

Sandy White is a current resident of Bear, Delaware, where he lives with his wife, Heidi,  and daughter, Marina.  Mr. white,, or known to BSO  members as Sandy, was recruited in 1987 by BSO’s founder Mae Davidow.  Sandy’s current role with BSO is as a coach and volunteer. Currently he coaches the women’s goalball team, is the leader of youth activities, and the Sports Administrator for the parent organization.  In past years he has also been involved with goalball, swimming, beep baseball, and track and field.  When asked what his current goals were for BSO, Sandy told me that  he would like “to help the women goalball players to continue enjoying the sport & keep improving, and helping the organization grow so it can offer more opportunities to more people.”  He also told me that his biggest accomplishments with BSO were, “helping many people benefit from participation in fitness, recreation, & sports, and helping to keep the organization functioning.”  Sandy advises that when you are attempting to accomplish a goal, the best strategy is to pick one and stick with it and to consistently work on that one goal. .  In the future he would like for BSO to have state championships in several sports and for multiple chapters around Pennsylvania to be established so more competition will be closer to home. If you would like to contact Sandy you can do so at sandyw1994@aol.com . Sandy would like to bring attention to all members that they can help support BSO by using GoodSearch.com, GoodShop.com, and to like BSO on facebook.

This and future articles on Know Your BSO Philly Member has been submitted by Melissa sheeder.  She will be bringing you bio’s on BSO Philly members. Please contact her at msheeder87@gmail.com To be included for these Know Your BSO Philly Member Bios.  Thank you.
